Last Friday I was lucky enough to cover a fashion show. It has been awhile since I last shoot anything related to fashion. The last time was a catalog shoot for an LA-based clothing line back in December.
My preparations was minimal as always. I prepped myself with the usual 50mm f1.4 USM and a Tamron 24-200mm f3.5 – f5.6 without any flash. I think by now most of the readers here know that I don’t really like shooting with a flash.
After looking around and finding a good spot to snap, I’ve settled on my settings for the night. Aperture was set at f8 with exposure around 1/200 to 1/250 depending on the shot. The result? See for yourself.
So in the end, once again it was a great experience for me covering the event. It was a long time dream to shoot one of these fashion shows. Perhaps next time I can be the official photographer for the show? Who knows right?
Till next time, keep on snapping people!
